All in the quest for a BunnyHop

Another day, another injury. All in the quest for a sweet and simple bunnyhop. Lol! Patience and rest for now. Will practice tomorrow again. Nothing too serious; Just the pedal grinding to the leg. When you reach my age, most injuries can be bragged upon. Sudah tua dah.

Ready and Roll!

Went to CMS Bicycle and Accessories@SriMuda today. Brought my Hardy 3 frame and my T-Bolt along. Finally gonna transfer everything over to get my UMF Hardy 3 rolling! Woot! Woot! Freeride bike ready! Only issue now is the rider. Lol!

Halfway through the build.

New Goodies on the Hardy 3 includes a Shimano Deore front derailleur and Shimano SIS SP shift cables. And also a "Scott" chainring protector or whatever you call it.

Ready to roll Hardy 3. Before you start flaming me out; I know that the cockpit is a little too high. Am gonna give it a go for a few times before I cut it. Don't want to regret it man. :)

And just to pamper myself a little more; bought an Azonic Vektor full finger glove.

Total damage to my wallet amounts up to Rm200 (bundle price for everything). CMS Bicycles and Accessories@Sri Muda; really a shop which satisfies the term Peng-Leng-Jeng for me. Can see that the boss really concentrates when setting the bike up. Can't wait to test everything out this coming weekend.

As for the T-Bolt, am gonna built it up. ;p Get myself a spare bike to switch in between every now and then. T-bolt for more road/XC and Hardy 3 for more AM/FR. T-Bolt would probably be using the RST Launch though. Lol! Funny combo.

Just for reference purposes.

Baby Rampage

Did someone say Jump? o_0

Well, as mentioned in my previous thread, been keeping an eye out for freeride hardtails. The moment I saw this ad popped up in bbs, just couldn't resist it. So here is my current project. :p
Also got a Shimano Alivio front derailleur included in the package, but not too tempted to use it.

Frame: Umf Hardy 3
Fork : RST Launch 100mm
Seatpost: Umf
Seat Clamp: Umf

Pimp my Mullet

Hehehe! Been noticing ALOT of 661 mullets going around. Had always wanted to personalize mine instead. So might as well give it a go. Presenting the first few pictures of my first custom :p

Not done yet! More to come. Hope it turns out all right.

Self tuned P.O.S

This is how i've set up my gears for now, adjusting both front and rear derailleurs. Setup how-to's from here. Pretty much a cover everything guide. If you get a little confused, try youtube, it'll clear some doubts in your mind. :)

Basically smooth gears from 1-1 to 1-8, 1-9 gets jumpy. Then from 2-2 to 2-9 and 3-2 to 3-9. Gear 2-1 and 3-1 are practically useless and the chain will either jump to the 2nd largest sprocket or not properly engage.

Free-For-All Leech City

Initially planned to ride FRIM solo today. Thought I'd take it slow, try to take more pictures, different routes, etc. Reach there about 7.50am, got down the car, looked around. Eh! Raymond was here. He was also setting up. Lol! Greeted each other, and I ended up joining his ride group. Total of 5 including me.

Hope the pics don't bore you, it's just that most riders will stop at the same spot here to take a breather before going on to different sections of the trail.

Dude was having a fever!

Chatting with a lonewolf rider

You dirty dirty girl :p

When we exited dream trail, I heard them talking about leeches. So i thought i'd check out my feet just in case. I was thinking there wouldn't be any, since i didn't stop long. I walked all the way from the start to the end of dream trail though. (Promised myself, my family and my girl that I wouldn't get hurt this time. Literally means no speeding or dangerous downhill wannabe stunts :p ). So I took a look at my feet, damn! Leeches galore. Saw one sucking on my feet, another attached to my sock (also sucking through the sock). Quickly took off both my socks. Saw another 2! Lol.

Wanted to use saliva but there were lots of joggers looking and I didn't feel like getting gross. So I just pulled them off. Bad mistake, feet bled non-stop. Later i check higher parts of my body, DAMN! another 2 was crawling up my pants, already reaching near waist level. Haha! Farked man, immediately took a look into my underpants, and check out my golden boy. Coast clear! Phew.

Before having a bowl of Yee Mee and heading home. 3 of the riders got themselves a nice bike wash. Rm2 per bike@Beside Kepong Pan Mee.

Beto MP-035 Shock Pump

Nothing much, just got myself a Beto Mp-035 shock pump; Rm100 @ USJ Cycles.
Mp-035 specs:
- For up to 400psi/30bar suspension shock
- 2-stage non-leak valve release
- 1.5" analog gauge
- bleeder valve

Pros: Looks quality built, gauge seems to work well too (no jumpy needles and others)

Cons: Valve is pretty hard to turn lock onto the shock, the hose feels a little short
